44th Merrie Monarch Hula Festival Hilo Hawaii -- Gallery Two-- Halau Hula `o Mehanaokala from Tokyo Japan April 11, 2007
This large hula troupe of 60 dancers, with their thrilling mix of Hawaiian and Tahitian dances put on quite a variety of costumes and were a lot of fun to watch. This halau is lead by kumu hula Kuuleinani Hashimoto. Hula is enormously popular in Japan.
